I had never heard of her before, but she took the words right outta my mouth. sometimes it's not easy to be the creative person you are in today's society, and it's always nice to have someone who stands by your side and accepts you for who you really are.

my new thrift treasures
This weekend I went thrifting and came back with almost an entire new wardrobe! I found six new shirts, they were all the button up style, some where floral and some plaid, all for a buck each. I found the perfect "boho" bag for me. Why is it perfect you ask? It's Huge! and it's pretty :) I'll post a pic of it soon. I got it for a couple bucks also. I also managed to hit the motherload on craft equipment there. I found scraps of ribbons, beads, and apolstery that I'm going to use to turn into jewelry.
I think the most important thing for anyone who is planning a trip to their local thrift store, is to have an idea of what you are looking for in mind. Make yourself a list. Look around your house for an empty wall that could use a new vintage wall hanging, and be creative. Maybe consider and old Indian print blanket as that new wall peice. It's amazing how cool those look hung up. Just remember to keep an open mind, and remember it's always possible to spray paint something or mend a few stitches.

determined
Spring of last year (my old garden)
Six months ago we moved from our house in the country to a place in the city. We still have the place in the country but it was getting to be too far of a drive for my husband everyday, and the schools in that town where not the best. So we now live in the "burbs" in a town much closer to my husband's job. The only thing I truly miss about our old house is the quiet and the space. I had much more room to garden and the backyard we have now will be a real challenge. It's sloped and there is no fence, but I am still determined to find a way to put in a garden. I pretty much have to start all over, which is cool with me, I love a challenge! I want to put in some beds for veggies and plant some new roses, and I've definitely got to figure out a space for our outdoor dinner nights. Well, wish me luck, i'll be sure to keep everyone up to date on my adventure ;)Best to you all~ Ann♥

Resolutions
Many people I know are making resolutions this week. Some want to quit smoking before their next birthday, some are looking to lose those few extra pounds they put on during the holidays. Me, I've decided to keep it simple. I just want to be happy. I mean I am usually a happy person, but there is always so much stress and worry in life, I think it is easy for anyone to become completely engulfed in the chaos. So I guess this year I have decided to simply take a step back, try not to put to much thought into the the bad stuff and just learn how to "chill". I want to take more time out just to enjoy life and to enjoy the time I get to spend with my amazing husband and kiddos. I'll be sure to post plenty of pics along the way, and I hope to inspire you all to find what makes you happy as well.
Best to you all ~ Ann♥
