Hey there! Wow we have had some crazy weather here in Texas lately! One day its 85 degrees the next we're lucky if it gets into the sixties. Hot and dry then cold and wet and it's may! This is the kind of stuff we normally get in december! The plants and animals dont know what to think, I'm just hoping the warmer weather sticks around this time, I hate the cold, I mean really if its under 70 degrees I just want to hide in bed all day with my head covered up :) My roses on the other hand seem to be loving this weather!
So anyways... about a month ago we picked up some new baby chicks from the feed store! Four black marans, two blue bantams, and two new ducklings (because I think our duck is feeling a bit lonely and confused, she spends most of her time hanging out with our rooster..)
I've got the cutest little helper! He loves his chickens!
My little curious one, she is always first to greet me :)
Has anyone else got new chicks this year, I'd love to see pics of them. I've been trying to think of interesting names for all of them. Got any ideas for me?
We're working on a larger coop to meet the needs of our ever growing flock. Pics to come soon. I think we're going to try to make the whole thing from pallets, wish me luck!
