Hi just thought I'd share a little DIY on how to make your own ombre shorts.
Here's what you need:
1 pair of old jeans cuttoff to your liking or old pair of shorts
1 large bottle of pure bleach (i just used the $1 stuff from the store)
a large bowl that you can throw away when your done
gloves to protect your skin from the bleach
hankercheif or painters mask to cover your nose and mouth if you are sensitve to the fumes of bleach.
Make sure you do this project outside! Bleach is extremely strong and wear a protective mask such as a painters mask if you have sensitive lungs. Bleach can cause chemical burns! Please be careful!
That's it! Now just pour enough bleach in the bottom of your bowl to cover the bottom of your shorts, about 1/3 of the bowl or so. Now dip the bottom 1/3 or so of your shorts evenly into the bleach and lie them against the side of the bowl so that they will stay put for about 2 hours. Check every 30 minutes or so to make sure they are bleaching in an even pattern, move them around a little if you need to. Once you get the bright white you want, very carefully remove them from the bowl and wash them out outside first if you can with a waterhose or something. After you get most of the bleach out, wash them by themselves in your washing machine on regular cycle.
